I googled about diffrences between D821 and D820.
Software in both devices are identically same.
only the hardwares for supported radio frenquencies are different,
but with a little tweak of software, could open up unsupported channels.(proven theory)
So it should be fine to take nandroid backup from D821 16gb
and restore that backup to D820 32gb.
It is not suggested though but I did it.
It worked fine for now.
of course I have to use it for awhile to see if it doesnt do any funny thing.
I also mod LTE band to support band 3 and 8 with D820.
That is before nandroid restore happen but
it should be ok as the band hack is kinda permanent unless I restore it.
I couldnt confirm the band mod works yet. will try it sooner or later.

I got stock several times doing band hack. I dont usually do that when I play with rooting tools or adb cmds.
----- after a while of uses ----
It work fine. No funny app closure, reboot or poor performances.
Except.. some of user data needed to be re-downloaded due to device changes.
Ringstones and notification sound files are gone somehow.
Band 3 confirmed. yeah~! That's good enuf for me so won't bother to test band 8.
